What kind of bored are you?

So when I was younger, and at my grandfather's for a holiday, I would always announce(so painfully) that I was bored. My grandfather being, well, who we remember him to be today would ALWAYS reply with "What type of bored are you? Are you a surf board, cardboard?" Wow...that always annoyed me. But, I guaranDAMNtee it that I will use it against my children.

So, being at my parents' house now for about 5 whole days I can honestly say that I am cardboard...the worst kind of board. I spent today sleeping in until 4 in the afternoon, playing spider solitaire, and then taking a nap. Did I mention it is only 6:30pm?

Last night was quite eventful I must say though. My mother, father and I went to clean Joe Louis Arena to watch the Detroit Red Wings take on the Columbus Blue Jackets - my two favorite NHL teams! It would not have been a professional sporting event without paying $30 dollars for three beers and my father getting into a fight with a 15 year old boy. Ok now I might be exaggerating a bit...the boy might have been a young man about the age of 18. Its all a little blurry how it happened, but I am POSITIVE that my father used the phrase, "you horses ass." AHAHAHA...and I wonder where I get it from.

I have also added a picture from Missy's going away party last Thursday. Here is the top 5 moments from that night.
5. Playing flip cup with amateurs - Krista and Missy
4. The Rotelle, which I have never heard of it being called - Ryan either ;)
3. The after party at Sally's - and someone trying to pee on her xmas tree
2. Kicking my shoe half across Jeremiah's and then some girl trying to start a fight with me because it hit her in the head. HA
1. "Did you know that when you take a bite of brownie and then take a drink of beer it tastes like Coke?" Andi...you ARE drinking a coke.

Missy what am I going to do without you? Since you wont be in my office for hours on end anymore, I might have to work....BOO!

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MACHEN!

WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!

Congratulations to the 2005 Fall Semester Shape up Southeast Champions. We had to work out everyday and then log our workouts for an amount of points. We won some sweet Southeast Hooded Sweatshirts. Not only did we win the overall, but each member of my team won a door prize of a poinsetta, and we also won a 75 dollar catered lunch for winning the most creative team name award - MOONS OVER OUR HAMMIES!!! Yep, yep...I made it up :) I must say though I had help from Sean and his obsession with Sally's hamstrings.

Finals week is wrapping up. I have two classes down and one to go until I can finally say that I have my first semester as a graduate student under my belt. After it is all done for the semester, I am off to snowy Detroit to see my family for christmas. During the 11 days that I am there I will also be traveling to Cleveland to see my high school and college friends and also to Pittsburgh to...well other than seeing a town built by the devil, to see my sister and my wonderful niece and nephews.

I must say, that when I leave for Detroit, Brainer will be leaving for Kuwait. Unfortunately Friday will be the last day that I see him for quite a while! Good Luck to little Brainer :) You will be missed!

I will finish up my post with the top 5 moments from the past weekend!

5. Getting ackward texts while sitting at the dinner table next to my BIG boss...but secretly liking it;)
4. Catching Machen and Karnes cheating at Trivia Pursuit and still kicking their ass.
3. Getting drunk in Jackson by 8pm, peeing in the vagina mold, sobering up, watching low profile porn with Karnes and Depew, and then driving back to Cape to "go out" and then passing out.
2. Going to Buffalo Wild Wings on Thursday(twice), Saturday, and Sunday. I think we are regulars.
1. Beating Brainer, not once, not twice, not three times, but FOUR times out of four at Trivia Pursuit. Apparently he can't hang with me!

GET OFF ME

I am back at home in the ghetto after a week long stay in beautiful Michigan (or as my friend would say MICH MICH...because it's Mich...again). I spent sometime with my family which I am very thankful for...they are always good for a laugh. Of course I heard the usual suspect lines: "your wedding is the next one," " are you dating anyone?" "when are you going to get serious about something?" and the ever popular "would you like a glass of wine." Of course my response to each of those questions respectively was: "I dont think so," "a few people," "I'm serious about having fun," and "most definitely." I had the wonderful opportunity to watch my 73 year old grandmother get absolutely obliterated and talk about her love life..which was nice. You cant make memories without events, and there most certainly was events this past week.

On a negative note, I am preparing to go to Iowa...maybe. My aunt passed away yesterday and the funeral is on Thursday. My father does not want me to go, but I feel somewhat required to go - seeing as my brother will not be in attendance. I'm just afraid that memories will leave me, but the only one that won't will be my inability to attend the services.

After a weekend of relection - due to the many questions from family members, I cant help but wonder as I fall asleep tonight. I wonder...I see where the past has taken me, but where is the present taking me?

I dont know when I am going to get married, date someone worth while, or get serious about something....GET OFF ME!!! But, alas...I do know thatI will have a glass of wine!

No time for losers...

Lots O Donkey won the 2005 Southeast Missouri State University Women's Flag Football Championship! Yea..."No Big Deal."

Next Championship - 2005 Shape Up Southeast. Go MOONS OVER OUR HAMMIES!

On a side note, it is monsooning out. Not just raining, monsooning. I'm not completely sure my crackhouse apartment can withstand this kind of pressure. I might be homeless in about 30 minutes.
